Cycling in Armenia isn't on many people's to-do lists. Dreaming of returning and carrying out a proper adventure in the nature, it's time to make Armenia your next cycling destination. There are a lot of good reasons to cycle in Armenia. Anyone can collect passport stamps, but if there's a meaningful measure of whether you've truly visited a place, it gave you a worthwhile story to tell. Not many people consider cycling in Armenia, which is a pity. The country offers vivid and unforgettable impressions to the cyclists. Beautiful landscapes, interesting mountainous routes, ancient architectural monuments – it has it all. Dig a little deeper and you'll find a strong undercurrent of progressive culture,
as well as plenty of the historical sorts.

Yerevan - Sardarapat - Dashtadem
Breakfast. Transfer to Sardarapat Memorial. Tour in Sardarapat. Sardarapat Memorial is a memorial complex to the Battle of Sardarapat located in the village f Araks. In 1968 during the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Sardarapat that took place on May 22-26, 1918 a memorial park was laid out on the spot of the battlefield. The memorial is a symbol of pride and survival. The monument is guarded by massive Armenian-winged lions. We start cycling to village Dashtadem. Lunch in the nature. Everyone will have lunch boxes. After lunch we will continue cycling to the village Dashtadem. Tour in Dashtadem fortress an St. Kristapor church. The Dashtadem complex is rich with historical and cultural monuments. The central monument is the Dashtadem Fortress, one of the largest medieval fortresses in the Caucasus. It has great historical architectural significance with roots tracing to the Urartian period (8th-7th c BCE). It was enlarged and enhanced during the Bagratid (8th-11th c), Persian and Ottoman periods, including the addition of the Khan Palace in the early 19th century. The fortress encloses the 7th century Saint Sargis Church (restored), 7-10th century water reservoirs, the Khan Palace, the citadel, and the surrounding fortress walls that date back to the 12th and 19th centuries. Dinner. Overnight near Dashtadem fortress (B&B Hotel).

Dashtadem - Anipemza - Gyumri
Breakfast.We start cycling to village Anipemza, which is located on the closed Turkish-Armenian border on a bank of Akhurian River on which opposite coast there are ruins of the ancient Armenian city of Ani in Turkey. Lunch (everyone will have lunch boxes). Tour to Yereruyk church. Because the basilica of Yererouk is one of the earliest surviving monuments in Armenia, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. Transfer to the second biggest city of Armenia – Gyumri. By the number of sunny days, Gyumri is one of the first in Armenia. Its surroundings are beautiful, rich in rare types of flowers and herbs. Dinner. Overnight in Gyumri.

Gyumri - Djadjur - Spitak - Vanadzor
Breakfast. We start cycling from Gyumri to Djadjur. Visit of Home Museum of the Armenian painter Minas Avetisyan, who was born in Djadjur village. We will continue cycling to Trchkan waterfall near village Mets Parni. Trchkan waterfall is one of the natural beauties of Armenia, situated on the border between 2 northern regions of Armenia. The highest waterfall of Armenia Is registered in the list of miraculous monuments of nature since 2008 and in 2011 it was defined as the special protected area. Lunch near waterfall and enjoying the breathtaking view. Continue cycling to Spitak town. Transfer to Vanadzor. Dinner and overnight in Vanadzor.

Vanadzor - Dilijan - Sevan - Yerevan
Breakfast. Transfer to Dilijan. Tour in Dilijan, which is famous as "Armenian Switzerland". Transfer to Goshavank monastery. The monastery was built not far from the ruins of an old monastery which was destroyed by an earthquake. The monastery is considered to be one of the great examples of Armenian architecture, the work of many talented architects, carpenters and stone masons. We start cycling to village Shorzha. Lunch (everyone will have lunch boxes). Free time at the lake Sevan – the blue pearl of Armenia. Dinner in fish restaurant near the Lake Sevan. Transfer to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel.

Yerevan - Amberd - Aparan Reservoir - Bjni
Breakfast. Transfer to Amberd Fortress. The complex derives its great historical importance from its uniqueness, being one of the best and the largest examples of Armenian fortress construction. Amberd fortress means "a fortress in the clouds" in Armenian. Transfer to Aparan Reservoir. The Aparan Reservoir is a blue mountain lake surrounded by high, snowy mountain peaks, old monasteries, and ancient cross stones. Swimming is not allowed in the reservoir, because the water is intended for irrigation. The reservoir has an earth dam that is 50m high and 200m in length. It freezes in winter, and its main fish species is the local Sevan khramulya. When the reservoir was formed, the villages of Qasak and Zovuni were flooded, and the inhabitants of these areas were resettled near Yerevan. We start cycling from Aparan Reservoir to Bjni. Lunch. We continue our cycling to Bjni. The village of Bjni itself is a historical site. Visit of Bjni fortress. The fortress was built in the 9-10th centuries. A very beautiful view from above the fortress can be enjoyed. Another site worth seeing is the rock names Takqar, which is truly one of the nature's wonders. It represents a huge natural arch, which is to be seen once you are visiting Bjni. Dinner with local family. Overnight.

Bjni - Sevan - Yerevan
Breakfast. Visit of Holy Mother Church in Bjni. One of the unique elements of the church, the walls of which include various inscriptions, is the cantileverd stone drawers stretching along the walls at the height of 5 meters. We start cycling to Sevan. Lunch (everyone will have lunch boxes). Transfer to Yerevan. Farewell dinner. Overnight at the hotel.
